Action: Attend SJ City Council Meeting Dec 8th

Please attend the San Jose City Council Meeting for consideration of the Greenprint on Tuesday December 8th in the afternoon.
The next opportunity to advocate for trails before the city council may not come again for more than a year, when the City Council considers the General Plan in the Summer of 2011.
Thanks to everyone for the great showing before the Planning Commission. Even though we lost one battle, Our show of resolve has has helped us win others:
- the Greenprint Update battle to keep the 3 Creeks Trail alignment on the Willow glen Spur corridor
- the Parks and Rec Commission unanimous adoption of SOT’s wording for preservation of the trail alignment
- Council member Oliverio’s and Councilwoman Campos’ remarks at the Committee
- Staff’s reversal of its initial refusal to release the right of way appraisals
- Council member Oliverio’s interest in revival of the fund raising focus group with Friends of the Guadalupe and SOT
- Council member Liccardo’s forthcoming memo
- Developer Michael Mulchay’s support as a Spur Corridor property owner
- The “Emerald Necklace With the 3 Creeks Trail as The Keystone” memo of the Chairs and Co-Chair of the Envision 2040 General Plan Update Committee
